African Drumming Workshop
Drumming session on Tuesday evening was so much fun with a really lovely group of beginners as well as regular crowd. It wasn’t long before we were all in the throws of the rhythms from Sengal in West Africa.
The songs were helping too and as things progressed we were encouraged to chant back to facilitators Papis Mane and Dia Gomis “Do Kou ASENAMA!” which translates , so we’re told, to ‘Nice work’….praise indeed as we whipped up to a frenzy!
Amazing atmosphere which is so uplifting and energising. we couldn’t help but smile , laugh and clap at the end of our piece complete!
If you would like to come to our workshops please follow lmeetup ink and look forward to drumming with you soon 🙂
